Who: ZFX (duh, who else?)
What: Totally kickass flying workshop
When: January 7–9, 2010
Where: The ZFX Dojo located at our Development Facility in Louisville, KY. (You know, the state with all the horses and bourbon.)
Why: The purpose of this workshop is to give participants a thorough understanding of both the performance and operational aspects of flying. As we master the basic fundamentals of movement and control we will begin to move into new and interesting planes of choreography. Safety always being the number one priority, all participants’ progress will be measured throughout the process to ensure proper technique in advancement to new levels of flying.

From super–human feats in stage combat to Peter Pan soaring to swimming effects, we’ll be flying high, giving each person an understanding of this wildly diverse medium being utilized in myriad shows from Broadway to universities and throughout the live entertainment world today. Both the technician and the performer will benefit from this workshop as flying affects so many aspects of theatre.
